IG: ✨LIFE✨🌱🌺🦋 My 6 little scarlet runner beans seeded on April 23, exploded out of their seed tray cells yesterday and had to be moved to bigger containers. 🙌🏼 Today, they rejoice in the beautiful spring sunshine. Scarlet runner beans produce beautiful red flowers, attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and have edible bean pods. They can be easily worked into any garden space as they are climbers that love a good fence or trellis. I didn’t grow these last year, so I’m pretty excited to add them into my 2018 garden. Happy Monday! 😘

IG: And 5 days later, WE GOTS! 🌱🌱🌱 So yeah I grow stuff, but for some reason I hadn’t tried growing my own microgreens. UNTIL NOW! I’m already sprouting all my seedlings for this year’s garden, so I thought, why the heck not! (Also it may be somewhat rooted in being too lazy to go all the way to the store.) Anyway, these sunflower microgreens are super, duper easy to grow. I put my @mummssproutingseeds sunflower seeds in a tray of @promixgardening Herb & Veggie Mix, watered them well, then put the tray by my brightest window, covered with a clear cover for 3 days. Then the sprouts got so big I took the cover off. All along keeping the seeds and soil moist with a spray bottle of water. That’s it. And 5 days later, 💥BOOM💥. Until I get my @modgarden tinyFarm this fall and can grow anywhere in my place, I’m going to continue this window method (cannot wait to grow from my dark kitchen 🙌🏼). HAPPY SATURDAY!! Eat your microgreens!! 🌱🤗

IG: 🙋🏻‍♀️I don’t eat out a lot, but when I do, I do it right. Hands-down one of my top 5 favorite restaurants and meals of life: The bacon🥓, avocado 🥑 & brie eggs benny on bread from @ladymrestaurant. Eggs are always perfectly poached and pan-fried potatoes crispy. Plus they make their own hot sauce AND KETCHUP now 😱😱😱 It’s one of those meals that I eat insanely slow, savoring each bite, just to prolong the pleasurable taste experience. DAYYYYUM 🤤🤤🤤

IG: When you have one big south (ish) facing window, it becomes your germination station ☀️🌱✨ Two old Ikea shoe racks, a @costco_canada bag of @promixgardening organic herb & veg soil mix and 11 seeding trays later, my microgreens for nibbling and seedlings for this season’s garden are beginning to pop 🌱. It’s a bootstrappin’ gardener’s masterpiece that works great. The only other thing you need? A good sport of a partner who is okay with you taking up the entire window to do your thing 😚👩🏻‍🌾😆

IG: It’s one of those things that gets me out of bed in the morning. Life is bursting forth and I friggen’ love it. 🌱 I seeded 10 trays on April 23 for this year’s organic edible garden. Much later than last year’s start, but it has also been a later spring (and plus, I’ve been away!). Hopefully it’ll be ok. 🌱 The seeds are now bursting open, eager to begin life as a seedling. To me, it’s an amazing miracle every time. 🌱 This year I was much more targeted with my seeding, focusing on the edible plants and veggies that we enjoy the most, scrapping the finicky, very slow growing, space hogging or less rewarding ones. I’m going extra crazy on the greens this year, because we eat sooo much of them. Tomatoes, too! 🍅 🌱 Featured here: @uharvest Bloomsdale Spinach 🙌🏼 🌱 Are you growing your own food this year? If so, what are you most excited to grow? ✨

IG: Toronto, I’m back! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Jetlagged, disorganized, a bit culture shocked, seasonal allergies in full swing and discombobulated (best word). But I’m back. I may have left my heart in Hawaii, but I know I’ll be back🌈. For now, I have a strong desire to clean, organize, purge my possessions, seed trays for this year’s summer, clean up the outdoor spaces and generally recalibrate my mind/body. Anyone else feeling the need to re-calibrate at this time of year? ✨

IG: FIND YOUR SOUL’S FOOD✨ I think this is one of the toughest things as adults. We get so “busy”, live to work, to pay the bills, to check off the ‘to-do lists’… that we leave little time for soul nourishing activities. And then after years and years of buzzing through life, we forget what activities even nourish our souls. But we NEED those to be happy, healthy human beings; the activities that don’t necessarily make us money (though if they can, bonus) but feed our spirits. Remembering or finding what these are (since they’re different for each of us) can be a challenge, but 💯 worth the search. I spent the last few years searching deeply for what feeds my soul and I’ve discovered a few things. One of them? The garden🌱— now I make sure to incorporate this into my life any way I can. • What feeds your soul and how do you incorporate that into your life? ✨
