IG: Gardener hands ???… I wear gloves a lot to avoid totally destroying my hands but there are some tasks that just require bare hands. I had this one rather “doom and gloom” teacher during my Holistic Nutrition schooling, that was adamant that we always wear gloves while gardening and never actually touch soil with our bare hands because we could contract parasites and other nastiest from the soil (honestly, she was parasite paranoid…). But FYI there are parasites everywhere, and I never agreed with avoiding soil. Humans have been in contact with raw, bare earth since the beginning of time. Sure, the soil isn’t the same high quality it used to be, but I still think you need to get dirty AF sometimes. And I think too many of us have zero contact with soil, dirt, and the earth from which we came, and which we will one day go back to. What are your thoughts??
