IG: A large part of my self-care routine is is MAKING THE TIME ⏱ (yes, that is the toughest part) to challenge my body regularly. To me, this means resistance training (heavy weights make my body happy??), but to you this could mean something else; namely whatever lights up your body and gives you those exercise induced endorphins to make you feel INVINCIBLE! (However, I personally recommend resistance training?… when I am physically strong I feel stronger mentally). For me to keep up my routine throughout my visits to Ohio, this has meant having to get 2 gym memberships… one in Toronto and one in Ohio. This might sound crazy to a lot of you, but it’s all about priorities and what is most important to YOU ??. The additional cost for me ends up being the monthly equivalent cost of about 6 Starbucks coffees, and I make my coffee at home and rarely eat out, SO this is how I CHOOSE to spend my money instead. But ultimately, you can’t really put a price on health and you only have ONE body, so treat it nice kids

IG: ??ughhh these boys light up my life SO much and I am missing them like crazy right now (as I am in Ohio taking care of family bizzzz, and will be back and forth for the next while). I feel SO blessed to have who I have, who I have had, and who I WILL have in my life (a pre-blessing for some unknown awesomeness?!), because when you allow yourself to experience deep love it stays with you always. Though I have experienced multiple, heartbreaking losses in my lifetime already, I am not broken or bitter, as I could allow myself to be. I am merely more receptive to life’s beauty, wonders and miracles, big or small, and hyper-aware of how precious life is, what my priorities are, and what is ACTUALLY important (hint: it IS NOT stuff). Take some time to feel gratitude for what is GREAT in your life today, because no matter what is going on (and we like to dwell on all that is WRONG), there will always be SOMETHING to be thankful for ❤️❤️❤️

IG: Here’s what I ate today (in case you were dyyyying to see), which is very much a normal day for me: 1. Breakfast: a creamy, foamy bulletproof coffee ?? – @bulletproof upgraded coffee beans, Brain Octane (MCT) oil, @kerrygoldusa butter, Himalayan salt & a couple dried green stevia leaves… delicious AF. 2. Lunch: organic veg, fat & protein. @applegate organic apple & chicken sausage with broccoli, sunflower sprouts, sauerkraut, whole mustard, onions & avocado. ???. 3. Dinner: protein, fat & veg + a lil’ carbs (carbs at night because, did you know carbs help you to sleep better?!) Grass fed beef curry with acorn squash, more broccoli with ghee, and a lil’ re-fried leftover turmeric basmati rice. 4. Snack– I don’t typically snack after dins but I ate dinner earlier than usual, and then felt a little hungeee, so I opted for a small organic apple with a raw almond butter, raw honey & Himalayan salt “dip”. I had already gotten into it when I decided I should photograph it, so it isn’t pretty, but it’s real, haha. Did you also know a tsp of raw honey before bed can also help you to sleep better?! ?? Nutrient timing is a real thing peeps, and it has been working wonders for me! Not pictured: a few squares of 88% dark organic chocolate?, filtered water?, and a kombucha with chlorella and spirulina that I also consumed today

IG: Ferments, prepped ✅! Can I say again how EASY it is to make your own probiotic-rich ferments like sauerkraut at home?! All you need is cabbage and salt. I literally made these happen in under 10 minutes. Now they must FERMENT for a few weeks (by sitting in the jar at room temperature, no work required by me, it’s the bacteria’s turn!). But seriously guys it’s so easy, cost effective, and healthy.
