IG: We all know by now that sugar is not good for us by now. But we can also be realistic. It’s about being SELECTIVE with how we indulge. About treating our bodies as the precious entities they are and not filling them with garbage. About choosing high quality, made with intention products that are, in a perfect world, gluten-free, dairy-free and organic (these cost more— but quality over quantity is key). Side rant: Social media is a selective platform where we get to put forward the particular image that we want to portray. But I’m not going to pretend like I’m not human and don’t enjoy an indulgence from time to time. I ate this. BUT— I chose this selectively and I saw it for what it was— a special indulgence that came in addition to the excellent food choices I usually make. No guilt. So: Make good choices most of the time. Then if you decide to indulge, first choose it wisely and selectively, then eat it slow and really enjoy it. Know it’s an occasional thing and that it’s not a staple in your everyday healthy food choices. DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP. A healthy life is not about depriving yourself but it’s about becoming more discerning / choosy / selective with what you do put in (or on) your body. It really is about the choices that you make MOST of the time, quality over quantity always, and following this with a healthy mindset about it. That’s my advice 👊🏼 What’s your strategy?
