Believe whatever you choose about life and death, but I KNOW gifts like this and the hummingbird visit last week are my mom sending her love in the ways that she can. She’s speaking to me through the beauty in the garden, and even through the monster zucchini I just harvested (she was the squash growing master). She loved the “golden light” time of day, and you can see it shining through here. MANY of the seeds I grew my plants from this year were hers, that she lovingly collected from her own organic garden by hand, and saved with the most beautiful intent to grow again. I may not be able to SEE her anymore, but I feel her and remember her in all beautiful things nature. She is still here, but in a new way, sending me gifts every day, and though tears roll down my face as I write this (you just gotta “feel the feelings” me and Jeff say), I know she’s nearby, always

IG of Sunday brunch (yesterday) @ladymrestaurant–it’s amazing how much joy this meal brings me. I eat it sooo damn slow, savor every little bite, close my eyes and count my blessings as the flavours just ignite my tastebuds. Anyone else have a meal that makes you feel this way? Maybe it’s not the healthiest choice for every day, but I say, eat the damn thing *once in a while* and ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY✨ (The B.A.B., aka bacon, avocado and brie benny. Pretty sure the heavens open up when I eat this?) Ok I’m a bit of a foodie and a Holistic Nutritionist and sometimes they MAY conflict a little but I really do believe holistic health also has to do with ENJOYING YOUR LIFE and not being so limited in your choices, or full of fear, that enjoyment is lost. You just can’t eat salads 100% of the time. But it’s taken me a while to get to this place of balance. I encourage you to find your balance as well

Yesterday I was feeling pretty emotionally and physically exhausted, so I took a little sit down in the healing sunshine. This beautiful green hummingbird flew right over, not knowing I was there, and proceeded to drink the nectar from my African marigolds about a foot from my head.
