IG: Animals are so damn intuitive ✨ Nev, who is NOT A LAP CAT, slept in my arms for 2 hours last night. He doesn’t usually stay on me for more than 10 seconds 😆 but it was a long cuddle I really needed and he just knew. (See story for video!) After this, my phone died so I just sat there being totally present to the moment (trapped, lol) enjoying his lovely warmth, softness and purrs and then twitching when he got into a deep, dream-filled snooze 😌. Also, we match, so that’s cute 💁🏻‍♀️. Wishing you a week full of healing moments like this!

IG: 🥗Breaking a 45 hour fast with this gigantic green salad of romaine, baby spinach, baby kale, avocado, homemade kimchi, carrot, turkey, parsley+basil+mint from the garden and some almonds very gently roasted in butter. To be dressed with fresh lemon and organic olive oil 👌🏼. Fasting for 24-72 hours is a great way to give a break to your digestive system which is very often overworked, plus give your body an opportunity to devote more energy to detoxing and repairing. It has been proven to boost immunity, too! I practice intermittent fasting daily, where I only eat within a window of about 6-7 hrs, but sometimes I do longer fasts! If you’ve never tried fasting before, it may be wise to start with smaller windows of time and work your way up to longer periods time.

IG: Can’t wait until my garden is exploding with big green leaves and exponential growth again! 🌱 This is a good look at one of my favourite growing spaces, my rough cut hemlock caged raised bed. It’s about 4×6’ of squirrel and raccoon-proof awesomeness. The top hinges open on both sides for full access, as seen here. Right now I’m growing lettuces, beets, carrots, baby pak choy and spinach in there, but I’ll be harvesting and replacing the pak choy and spinach with something else soon! How do you animal-proof your garden? 🐿🐇🐾
