IG: New blooms excite meeeee ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ This one was from an โ€˜old fashioned flower seed mixโ€™, so after sowing from seed I had no idea what kind of flower it was going to blossom into! And I still donโ€™t know exactly what kind of flower it is ๐Ÿค” What a beautiful surprise

IG: My vintage laundry tub spaghetti squash is about the size of a small (oblong) grapefruit now ๐Ÿ˜ As you can see, I mulched with straw and whenever I look at the squash it reminds me of a very special egg in a nest ๐Ÿฅš (that continues to grow? lol). After this weekendโ€™s intense heat wave, growth of everything seems to have accelerated tenfold. This also led to all my cool weather crops bolting and going to flower๐Ÿ”œ to seed (my lettuce and remaining pak choy and spinach are basically done because of the heat) but the hot weather crops like cucumber, peppers and tomatoes are so happy! IG: Urban gardening principle #1: get creative with containers! ๐Ÿค— Whether in a home, apartment or condo, if you have an outdoor space that gets a lot of sun, you can probably successfully grow something! ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ Here is one of my most recent growing spots.
