IG: Are you a total newb to the gardening world but want to START GROWING VEGETABLES?! YOUUUUU CAN! Here’s what to do, and it’s easy and cheap: START IN CONTAINERS ??????No matter where you are, as long as you have sun and water, you can grow OODLES in containers. No need to bust out that shovel or tractor, peeps ?. Here’s how to start: you can use containers that are actually intended for planting, or you can drill 6-8 small drainage holes in the bottom of those old storage totes you have lying around (or full of junk– first purge the junk), like the one in this photo. Then, fill it with an awesome pre-fab organic soil mix, like @promixgardening Organic Vegetable and Herb Mix. Then, plant your seeds or seedlings and water regularly. VOILA! It’s THAT simple to start growing this year! No need to be intimidated, just start here– once you get your feet wet you can step up your game next year ??? Had our avocados been ripe, those would be in there too ?. YOMMMMMMMM sooooooooooo fresh.

IG: My front yard milk crate organic curly kale is coming along nicely! Not the most glamourous method, but such a cost effective and easy way to grow food. I am using 4 milk crates filled with tall vegetables (kale and chard) as a “vegetable barrier”, to keep the pesky mailman from walking directly through my garden, since kindly asking him if he could please not do that didn’t work (there is a large walkway) ??. Can’t wait to chow down ??????
