IG: Fresh zucchini noodles, carrots and Swiss chard from the garden in my coconut curry bone broth soup with wild caught cod Rich, mildly spicy and insanely satisfying! Things have been kinda crazy the past few weeks, back and forth from Hamilton to Toronto lots + taking care of two properties and I’ve been eating a lot more crappy food and less veggies than usual. None of us are perfect all of the time and it’s OK, but I definitely feel it in my energy levels 😴 and I needed this comforting, nourishing meal today. This soup is comprised of a base of nutrient-dense homemade bone broth and coconut cream and then loaded with anti-inflammatory spices, fresh veggies and some wild caught protein (fish). The coconut cream makes it high fat 😍, so it’s highly satisfying, filling, fueling and, contrary to faulty info from the past, soooo good for your body. Fat isn’t what makes you fat— sugar and refined carbs do. So stop counting calories, fearing fat and eat your fat (especially from coconut, avocado, olive oil and wild / pastured animals) because it’s the cleanest burning source of fuel out there and we need it for so many vital body processes. Plus fat is damn delicious. • Do you still falsely fear fat?
